McCabe's Commercial Diving is located in the twin cities since 1984. Specializing in Underwater Mechanical Work and Video Inspections. After operating for 23 years with a Flawless Record Our services include, but are not limited to the following:
• Timber Piles – Cutting/Drilling
With our air operated chainsaws and hydraulic drilling system, we can cut 12” x 12” timber piles, and drill through 24” thickness of timber in order to bolt 2 piles together. • Underwater Cutting and Welding Using Thermal Arc (Broco) cutting equipment, we can cut sheet steel or tubular steel piles, as required. • Cardox Rock/Concrete Materials Breaking System Cardox employs the rapid expansion of carbon dioxide to break down surrounding materials, ideal where explosives are not permitted. • Removal of Sand / Silt This can be achieved using standard airlifting equipment, or the use of the Hydrainer System, or even dredge pumps, we can suggest the best system for your project. • Concrete From mass concrete placing to masonry joint grouting – we cover the whole spectrum. Placing of concrete bag-work underwater is our specialty. • Air Bags We keep a selection of totally enclosed lifting bags and standard parachute bags for salvage and for other buoyancy requirements. • H.P. Water Jetting We can carry out H.P. water jetting of surfaces both above and below water. For underwater use we have the availability of an underwater gun with retro jet facilities. Another of our specialties is the cleaning of empty underground reservoirs, where all surfaces and columns are cleaned using H. P. water jetting equipment in a confined space environment. • Search & Recovery As with most diving contractors, search and recovery is a regular feature of our work.
